Young Learners (YL) Extension
The Young Learner Module is a teacher training course that provides participants with the basic knowledge and skills needed to teach ESL to children.
The module follows a communicative approach to the teaching of young learners in different contexts.
The course runs Monday-Friday, 10am – 4pm, for a total of 50 hours. This includes methodology sessions and a practicum.
The Young Learner Module can be taken:
- As a 2 week extension to the GV TESOL Diploma Course
- As an independent 2 week program
Successful graduates will receive a GV TESOL Young Learner Module Certificate
What requirements do I need to apply for the TESOL Diploma program?
- You have to be at least 18, preferably over 20
- If English is not your first language, then you must
have a minimum TOEIC score of 550; or minimum TOEFL score
of 490 (163 computer exam); and GV Intermediate Level
of English, as determined by the GV Level Placement Assessment.
